This Privacy & Cookie Policy explains how Déjà Vu Beautiplex ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with our website at www.dejavubeautiplex.com (the "Site"). We are a salon, makeup studio and beauty academy based in New Road (Above Carrefour Store), Pokhara, Nepal.

Our Site is an informational website. It does not have user accounts, does not take online payments, and does not run a customer database. Please read this policy together with our Terms & Conditions.

1. Information we collect

a. Appointment / booking requests

When you use the "Book an Appointment" form, you may provide your name, phone number, chosen service, preferred date and an optional message. This form does not send data to a server we control. Instead, it opens WhatsApp with your details pre-filled so that you can review and send them to us as a message. Your details are only transmitted when you choose to send that message.

b. When you contact us

If you call, message us on WhatsApp, or reach us through our social media, we receive the information you choose to share (such as your name, phone number and enquiry).

c. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare) may automatically record technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, and access timestamps in server logs, for security, fraud prevention and reliable delivery of the Site. We do not use website analytics, advertising or behavioural-tracking tools.

2. How we use your information

• To respond to your appointment requests and enquiries;
• To provide and confirm salon services and academy courses;
• To keep the Site secure, available and working correctly;
• To comply with legal obligations where applicable.

3. Cookies & similar technologies

We keep this simple: we do not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies.

• Local storage: when you dismiss our cookie notice, we save a small flag in your browser (named dv_cookie_ack) so the notice does not appear again. It contains no personal data.
• Essential / security cookies: our provider Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies to protect the Site (for example, against malicious traffic) and to serve pages efficiently. These are required for the Site to function.
• Third-party resources: the Site loads fonts and design/animation libraries from Google Fonts, the Tailwind CDN and cdnjs. Loading these files means those providers may receive your IP address. They are used only to display the Site correctly.

4. Third-party services & links

We rely on a small number of trusted third parties, each with their own privacy policies:

• Cloudflare — website hosting, security and content delivery;
• Google Fonts — website typography;
• Tailwind CDN & cdnjs (GSAP) — styling and animation libraries;
• WhatsApp / Meta — when you send us a booking or message via WhatsApp;
• Google Maps and our Instagram, Facebook and TikTok links — these take you to external sites governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party websites.

5. How we share information

We do not sell or rent your information. We only share it where necessary to provide our services (for example, the messaging platform you use to reach us), or where required by law.

6. Data retention

Because the Site has no database, we do not store your form details on the Site. Messages you send us (for example, via WhatsApp or phone) are kept only as long as needed to serve you and to run our business, unless a longer period is required by law.

7. Your rights

You may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information you have shared directly with us. To make a request, contact us using the details below. Please note we can only act on information we actually hold.

8. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will remove it.

We take reasonable measures to protect information shared with us. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
